"It is our way of wishing luck to students and instilling confidence in them."
Even in this modern age, Saraswati Vihar Girl’s School has not forgotten India's rich culture of performing hawan on the very first day of every month at Saraswati Vihar Girls’ School. In this great Homa we pray to Agni - the god of fire - to cleanse our body, mind and soul of all sins, to keep our spirits high like Agni. Some students and Teacher perform the Hawan, while the rest chant the mantras along with them. The Hawan is performed to purify the atmosphere. The heat of the fire kills micro-organisms and pollutants in the air and thus leaves the atmosphere fresh, clean, cool and fragrant. We start with the Chanting Om mantra, continue with Masik Agni Hotra, which is followed by the Gayatri Mantra.
Sehbhoj is another one of the important traditions of Saraswati Vihar Girls’ School which is often conducted at school for students as well as for teachers and members of managing committee. Eating together under one roof encourages togetherness, attachment and healthy development. It develops a healthy relationship and increase the well beings of others.
Saraswati vihar begins its day with the blessings of Goddess Saraswati by lighting lamp and reciting Saraswati Vandna and mantras.Prayer held at school is purely based on Hindu tradition which inculcate spiritual values and create peace of mind.
