Exam Policy


Examination Schedule

The academic session will include the following examinations:
- Periodic Test–I
- Half-Yearly Examination
- Periodic Test–II
- Annual Examination

For Classes X & XII, the following examinations will be conducted:

- Periodic Test–I
- Half-Yearly Examination
- Periodic Test–II
- Pre-Board Examination(s)
- CBSE Board Examination

Promotion Policy (Classes I–IX & XI)

- Students must appear in all scheduled examinations.
- Promotion to the next class will be based on the student's overall academic performance, attendance, and compliance with school rules.
- The decision of the school regarding promotion shall be final.

Passing Criteria

- Students are required to secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject to be declared Pass in the school examinations.
- For subjects involving practicals, students must obtain the minimum qualifying marks in theory, practical, and aggregate as applicable. This aligns with CBSE passing norms.

Pre-Board Examination (Classes X & XII)

- Appearing in the Pre-Board Examination is mandatory for all students.
- Students must secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject to qualify as per CBSE passing criteria.
- Pre-Board performance will be used to identify learning gaps and provide academic support before the CBSE Board Examination.

General Rules

- Attendance during examinations is compulsory.
- Re-examinations will be conducted only in exceptional cases with prior approval of the Principal.
- Any form of unfair means or misconduct during examinations will invite disciplinary action as per school rules.
- The decision of the Principal regarding examination matters shall be final and binding.
